Jade West only has a short summer every year, and there is no snow season for mining. Every year, Jade West mines 100 tons of jasper for export to China and other parts of the world. It provides 95% of Canada’s jasper resources to China every year.

According to Fred Wald’s description in the November 1998 issue of Gemmical Journal, Western Jades is the exclusive supplier of Canadian jasper, which is “the newest, brightest, most transparent, greenest and hardest type of jade ever discovered.”
